The KMVC participated in the Proud To Be An American parade in Maryville, TN, on Sunday 13 June 2010. We had a good turnout  for a great event, especially when you throw in 90 degree temps and 90 percent humidity.  We had Lamar in the Sorcerer, Pete and Steve in the MG 42 vehicle, Dion in his M151A1, Leroy with his M274 Mule,  Bruce and his wife in a M151A2 , Unimog Bob and Colleen in a camo-ed  404, and Gary and Jarius in Mama San running in tail end Charlie.  After the parade, we convoyed down the street to Los Amigos Restaurant . A few minutes into the meal, a lady came over  to talk.  She had noticed the 101st Airborne banners on Mama San and stated her son had served with the Screaming Eagles for 4 years.  After chatting for awhile she thanked us all and left.  After the meal we asked for our checks, and, much to our surprise,  we were told all our checks had been paid by the lady.  It does make you Proud to be an American.
